“And they believe they are so close to the light.”
“Yes, what a long shadow they must create.”
“Especially since they named their home ‘light’.”
“Yes, light and darkness.”
“With Movement between them.”
“Yes, the Movement of days gone.”
“’...death was on the other end of one of those barrels...’”
“Yes, look out, boy.”
A gunshot cracked through the darkness. He cried out as he clutched his burning chest, caught in a wave of pain. It was covered in blood, his hand. Crimson like spray paint. Another two shots exploded into the gloom. He screamed. And screamed.

A speed paint gone mad. I'm still working on that whole lighting this but it's kinda nonexistant here. The clothes are meh, the blood is meh, but I have to say I like how the face/hair came out (god that eye!) minus the wonky-ness of the nose.
This is Davis from my Windmill story; and the title has more meaning to it than I'm up to explaining *is tired*
